Intel’s E6XX series goes by many names, as all of their devices do, and are somewhat randomly chosen from a US Geographical Survey map. These codenames for the Processor, the Chipset, the combination of both, and the original development board or Customer Reference Board (CRB) are sprinkled throughout tech docs and software drivers. Unfortunately they are often used interchangeably.
| Device | Codename | Official Name |
| Processor | Tunnel Creek | E6xx Series, E620,E640,E660, E680 (different speeds) |
| Chipset | Topcliff | EG20T |
| Processor and Chipset | Queens Bay | Intel® Atom™ Processor E6xx Series with Intel® Platform Controller Hub EG20T |
| Customer Reference Board | Crown Bay | Name changes from CRB to Development Kit when disks and OS are added. |
